Christmas Stockings

Something I take great pride and joy in is our Christmas stockings.  My mom made mine when I was a child and I made one for my husband when we got married.  And one for each child when they came along.  Last year when Fiona's 1st Christmas came along Claire decided her stocking was too babyish and asked for a new one.  So last year I made Claire one and Fiona used Claire's old one.  This year I made one for Declan and one for Fiona.

And they are done!  Nicholas has the Grinch, I have the red one with birds and lace, Claire has the sparkly Christmas candy, Chandler has blue snowmen and trees, Fiona has the gingerbread men, and Declan has the red one with snowmen.  I love them!

Christmas Tree

The amazing tree farm we have gone to for nearly 20 years sold and closed.  Makes me so sad!  This year we tried a new farm.  It was a steep hill!

Fiona loved helping to decorate the tree!  It's such a cheerful addition to the living room! 

Christmas Cookies

We only made a few types of cookies this year .... trying to cut back you know.  We decided on just making the favorites and that ended up being seven types!  Sugar cookies to decorate, Sesame Seed cookies, Italian Rainbow Slices, Black & Whites, Linzers, Meringues, and Biscotti.  Oh, yum!

Declan is 4 months old!

Declan is 4 months old today! How did that happen? He is such a handsome, happy fellow and I am blessed.  

Hungry People!

We have hit a new stage in our family. Last night a 9x13 casserole was not enough to feed us for dinner. And Mom was working and wasn't here!  So, two adults and 3 kids eating. I can't imagine how much food I will need to cook when Declan starts eating too!

It's time for me to adjust how I cook again!
