Getting So Big!

Declan has been all smiles today!  He is showing so much personality lately.  He loves being talked to and being told that he’s a handsome boy.  All happy smiles and chuckles.  Love this stage!  He’s getting so big!  He already is wearing 6 month size clothes and is not even 4 months old now.  It’s crazy!  

Motherhood

I had a busy day of errands and Claire and Chandler had their art class.  Then I had a Mom Night Out planned for this evening and I got to go without Declan!  We were painting pottery so I’m glad I didn’t have him in my arms.  I came home refreshed.  It has been a crazy two days and it will be a busy weekend. But it's wonderful. Even the hard days are wonderful. Sometimes by the end of the day I want to hide in the closet and tear my hair out, but I know someday I will look back and miss these moments. My beautiful Claire, my emotional Chandler, my vivacious Fiona and my sweet, snuggly Declan. They are everything to me.  And now I really need to go to bed because Mom, Annie, Fiona, Declan and I are heading to Atlanta for one of our yearly food runs in the morning.  So excited!

Halloween

Claire wanted to be Merida tonight so we tried to curl her hair.  It looked great.  It was disappointing though because after an hour of curling her hair with mousse and hairspray they still fell out in only a few hours.  It was chilly and sprinkling but Nicholas took Claire and Chandler trick or treating around the neighborhood.  They had so much fun!  I bought candy and we handed it out to trick or treaters but there wasn’t many of them.  The rain scared most of them away!  I have way too much candy in the house now!
